Accounting Clerk
Location: Liberty, NY
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Job Type: Long term temporary
Job Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Clerk to join our team in Liberty, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the accounting department with various clerical and administrative tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. This is a temporary position with no end date in mind.
Accounting Clerk Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and process payroll for employees
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications
